THE SCHOLASTIC APTITUDE TEST (SAT)

The SAT is a globally recognized college admission test. It is composed of 3   sections: writing and language, math, and critical reading. They also include   an optional Essay. Highly competitive colleges and   specific programs such as engineering. Computer science, require students to   take SAT II Subject Tests. Students should also complete this registration   online atwww.collegeboard.org. This web   site provides practice questions and preparation materials.

THE AMERICAN COLLEGE TESTING PROGRAM (ACT) 

The ACT is a college entrance exam which consists of up to 5 academic   sections. A score is reported for each of the four sections along with a   composite score. The four sections, English, mathematics, reading and   reasoning are scaled from 1 to 36. The composite score is an average of the   four areas. What   is the difference between the the SAT and ACT?

The SAT is more of an aptitude   test, testing reasoning and verbal abilities. The ACT is an achievement test,   measuring what a student has learned in school.

The ACT has up to 5 components: English, Mathematics, Reading,   Science, and an optional Essay.

The SAT has up to 4 components: Critical Reading, Writing and   Language, Mathematics, and an optional Essay.

TOEFL REGISTRATION

It is required of most   students for whom English is not their first language to complete anexam that measures their proficiency   in English. Students may take the Test of English as a Foreign Language to   demonstrate proficiency. The TOEFL consists of four sections: reading,   listening, speaking and writing and has a duration of 4 hours.
