We are seeking evangelical believers who will commit for a minimum of 3 years and ideally as a long-term calling to serve in international education.

2018-19 SCHOOL YEAR

Elementary Division (2018-2019 School Year)
  • Elementary Special Education Teacher: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Special Education or in Elementary Education with additional training in Special Education and a minimum of 1 year of relevant teaching experience. Teaching Certification/Credentials/License preferred. The Elementary School Special Education Teacher will assist general education teachers in identifying and meeting the needs of students with disabilities or special needs, adjust lessons, develop specialized educational programs, and support parents of their students. Must be a fluent English speaker.
School-wide (2018-2019)
  • Administrative Director: The Administrative Director manages and directs the non-academic administration of AAI. The Administrative Director reports to and is under the direction and supervision of the Executive Director. The role of the Administrative Director includes two sets of responsibilities:  1) financial management and oversight of all financial operations of the school and 2) general administration -- oversight of all non-academic areas of the school, supervising the coordinators of Human Resources, Operations (maintenance & security), IT, Finance, and Legal Compliance.  The candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish, bi-cultural with experience in both US and Latin American cultures, have accounting or other financial management experience, personnel management experience, and preferred experience in private schools.  He/she must have a bachelor’s degree in a financial field or extensive, relevant experience if the degree is not in a financial field.  MBA or graduate work in finance is a plus. The candidate must be able to provide references who can verify the trustworthiness of the candidate.
  • Human Resources Coordinator: The responsibilities of the Human Resources Coordinator include but are not limited to ensuring that the hiring process is carried out according to the applicable policies and regulations; supervising the process of preparing the payroll and ensuring it is done correctly; supervising the compensation of volunteer personnel, and the registration of income and discounts.  The Human Resources Coordinator supervises the following people: health office staff, SSO, Occupational Physician, Housing Coordinator, Member Care Coordinator, Recruitment Coordinator, and Human Resources staff.   Additionally, he/she ensures that all personnel files are kept confidential and up to date. The Human Resources Coordinator reports to and is under the supervision of the Administrative Director.  Applicants must be bilingual in English and Spanish and must hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field and have 5 years of human resources experience.  Experience in a school or non-profit organization is ideal.
  • Finance and Accounting Support Specialist: The Finance and Accounting Support Specialist is responsible for bookkeeping and recording of accounting data such as expense invoices, payroll, provisions, etc.  He/she will also reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. He/she will provide support with data compilation for financial/accounting reports and will assist during external audits by providing documentation and required information. He/she is responsible for inventory and fixed assets control. He/she will provide general and specialized accounting support, occasional support with budget records, and occasional support in accounts receivable and cashier.  Candidates must be a CPA, Commercial Engineer, or Financial Engineer with a minimum of two years of experience. They must pass a technical assessment and be literate in a modular and integrated financial accounting system. The Finance and Accounting Support Specialist works under the guidance of the Finance Coordinator and reports to and is under the supervision of the Administrative Director.
  • Maintenance Supervisor: The Maintenance Supervisor supervises the work of all personnel in the maintenance department.  The Maintenance Supervisor reports to and is under the supervision of the Director of Operations. The Maintenance Supervisor must have experience in technical systems/trades (carpentry, electrical, plumbing, general maintenance, etc.), experience in a supervisory role, knowledge of health and safety practices, an eye for detail and quality, and computer literacy. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

2019-2020 SCHOOL YEAR

Elementary Division (2019-2020 School Year)
  • Elementary Teachers: Must have a BA/BS degree in Elementary Education. US certification and/or experience preferred. Native English proficiency required.
  • Elementary Special Education Teacher: Must have a bachelor’s degree in Special Education or in Elementary Education with additional training in Special Education and a minimum of 1 year of relevant teaching experience. Teaching Certification/Credentials/License preferred. Must be a fluent English speaker.
  • Elementary EFL Teacher: Must have a bachelor’s degree in ESL or Elementary Education with an endorsement or additional training in ESL.  US certification and/or experience preferred. Native English proficiency required.
Secondary Division (2019-2020 School Year)
  • Middle School Math Teacher: Must have a BA/BS degree, U.S. certification and/or experience. Must have native English fluency.
  • Secondary English Teacher: Must have a BA degree, U.S. certification and/or experience. Must have native English fluency.
  • Secondary Bible Teacher: Must have a BA degree, U.S. certification and/or experience. Must have native English fluency.
  • Secondary Social Studies Teacher: Must have a BA/BS degree, U.S. certification and/or experience. Must have native English fluency
