The Alliance Academy International has provided a boarding program for students whose parents are living in another country or in a location within Ecuador that is too far away from Quito to permit for the students to commute.  The dorm staff consists of dorm parents and an assistant. There is also a full time kitchen staff which provides all the meals. While the dorm closes for long holidays, the dorm parents and students sometimes take special trips during shorter holidays.  Games, puzzles, books, internet and cable TV are all available at the dorm.
