The Academy celebrated its eightieth anniversary during the 2009-10 school year, with the community reflecting upon and giving thanks for the Lord’s faithfulness over the school’s eight decades of effective educational service and Christian ministry. The school benefits from a unique legacy, spiritually and educationally, and we believe that the best years are yet to come! Many positive things are happening today at AAI, and the school has a bright future.
The AAI is now an independent educational foundation, without the opportunities and benefits of the historic relationship with the mission of the Christian & Missionary Alliance and the base of support it represented. Given the current reality, it will become increasingly important for the school to develop relationships with individuals, groups, and churches which share a commitment to the AAI’s vision, mission, and purpose and are willing to support the school’s ministry financially.
We encourage you to consider ways in which you can support the AAI through financial giving, gifts-in-kind (products or services), or in other non-traditional ways.
Giving/Annual and Capital Funds:
Annual Scholarship Fund: The Annual Scholarship Fund was established to help students and families who are not able to pay the full tuition cost of attending the AAI. The fund is very important in making it possible for the Academy to retain students whose families are suffering temporary financial challenges; attract students who are considered quality candidates for becoming part of the Academy community; and students who have the potential to bring increased diversity and value to the Academy community.
Specific groups targeted for receipt of scholarship support include children and young people whose parents are in full-time ministry, the lower socio-economic strata, and from the Cofan tribe of Ecuador, as well as children and young people with unique talents and abilities. For many of these prospective families, the Scholarship Fund is the only way their children will be able to attend the AAI.
Donations for the scholarship fund may be made directly to the business office at the AAI, or through account #1013160 with Resourcing Christian Education International.
Annual Fund: The AAI has not yet launched a capital fund for facility or endowment development. Account #1013190 has been established with RCE for this purpose, and it is expected that a major project will be developed and communicated in the near future.
