Chapel

The elementary school chapel program is divided into three sections: kindergarten, first-third grades, and fourth-sixth grades. The teachers are in charge of the chapels on a rotating basis. They either present something themselves or find a guest speaker. Spiritual emphasis is held each semester for a week.

For secondary school chapel, one of the challenges is to encourage students to know Jesus in more than in an academic context. Every student has Bible class and God often becomes "part of the school." It is our desire that weekly chapel (held on Wednesdays) and spiritual emphasis (held twice a year) would be different.

In addition, we have several student-led worship teams that give the student body a weekly chance to praise God in a fresh and meaningful way. We also try to present God's Word creatively with the emphasis on application. Questions such as, "Who does God want us to be this week?" or, "What does God want us to change this week?" help students examine their own lives. Honoring God and honoring people is our constant challenge.
